Nasal Sound (अनुस्वर) Rules in Hindi with English Examples

1.Anuswar (ं) is infact not a vowel sound. When it is used with a vowel letter, this nasal sound sounds like mild of that family.
(e.g)
पंकज-pankaj-lotus
'nga' (ङ) mild sound of 'ka' (क) family.

कांच-kaanc-glass
'nja' (ञ) mild sound of 'ca' (च) family.

ठंडा-ttandaa-cold
'Na' (ण) mild sound of 'Ta' (ट) family.

बंदर-bandar-monkey
'na' (न) mild sound of 'ta' (त) family.

'ma' (म) mild sound of 'pa' (प) family.

2. To pronounce anunasik(nasal sound-ँ), nose must be used while pronouncing a vowel sound.
