There are four types of conjuncts letter in Hindi. They are as follows :-

1. Vertical-lined letters,
2. Circular letters,
3. Right-curved letters, and
4. Special type-र letter.

These types of स consonants will end up with a vertical line. These type of letters are shown below.

2. When vertical-lined letters become conjunctions. Its first half of that letter is written removing the vertical line.

E.g

1. त् + त = त्त - पत्ता - Leaf
2. स् + त = स्त - सस्ता - Cheap
3. त् + य = त्य - सत्य -Truth
4. ग् + य = ग्य - ग्यारह - Eleven
5. म् + य = म्य - म्यान - Sheath
6. च् + छ = च्छ - अच्छा - Good
